My heart was beating in the first monologue's boar hunt, and I was getting misty eyed as the lord's nephew left a gift for the not-so-princess-pretty blacksmith's daughter in the second monologue. And all that in less than 10 pages! A quick read at only 80 sparse pages (and therefore even more kid friendly), historically insightful, a vocabulary enricher, and a concise look at how being a kid wasn't always MP3's & XBox's! Great Book!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7022775613667933377.post-15554210554547028692008-01-20T11:50:00.000-05:002008-01-20T11:50:00.000-05:00Well I'll have to read it eventually since I'm goi...Well I'll have to read it eventually since I'm going to read all the Newbery winners but I must admit it doesn't sound like a book I'll enjoy. We don't have the book (all we have is the Caldecott winner and the Pura Belpre illustration winner) so it is nice to get a preview.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09902380558583190500noreply@blogger.com
